This week the passion story leads us to the end of the story – or at least so it seems – the crucifixion. Evil has temporarily won, ; the Son of God crucified like a common criminal. But there was nothing common about Jesus; He took on the sin of the world, and the evil that humanity inflicted would soon be transformed. The artistic element this week revolves around the cross with a special musical slection sung by our choir enitled “Contemplation of the Cross.”
