God’s mission of love and justice conflicts with cultural norms, causing division and conflict. The
Ancient prophets experienced the challenge of delivering God’s word in the midst of defiance.
Jesus calls us to be His disciples and to persevere despite opposition as well, and assures us that
despite the challenges of being His disciples, we need not be afraid. “Do not be afraid; you are
worth more than many sparrows.” God is always with us, a mighty warrior for righteousness.
Come and be renewed in hope and faith as we focus on what it means to be a disciple today. Our
great choir will be singing “Here I Am, Lord.” Be renewed, be inspired, be Spirit-filled!
