
The First Presbyterian Church Education Scholarship (formerly the Student Loan Program) is intended to serve the First Presbyterian Church Community (teen, young adult and adult) in their desire to further formal educational opportunities to help offset the rising costs of continued education.
Award – Award(s) shall be given to students/prospective students who are members of the First Presbyterian Church and are accepted into a formal educational setting (technical and trade schools, junior college, undergraduate and graduate colleges and universities and technical training program.)
Scholarship amounts will be determined by the Church Scholarship Committee.
Award Requirements – All applicants must be active members of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome, NY.
The Scholarship shall be used for any accredited training or education program within one calendar year of receipt of the award or it shall be returned. Applicants may receive the award more than once, but the application form must be submitted each year. For awards beyond the initial award, documentation must be provided that the applicant is in good standing with the educational institution and/or program, along with a course grade transcript for the previous academic year.
