DESCRIPTION:This Sunday we celebrate the feast of Pentecost – Fifty days after Easter\, when the first apostles\nreceived the gift of the Holy Spirit. It is known as the “birthday of the Church” because the\napostles – filled with a newly infused confidence – went out and spread the gospel of Jesus\nworldwide. That same Spirit that infused the early apostles is with us today – filling us with\nconfidence\, hope\, and a passion to carry out God’s mission of love and justice.\nJoin us for worship this Sunday as we experience the power and movement of the Holy Spirit. Be\nenergized by the Word of God\, lively music\, and other artistic expressions. Our great choir will\nsing “Spirit\, Come Down.” Wear some red – the color of the flames of holy fire – and be prepared to “Feel the Spirit!”
